bernie’s book bank: “one book to love” campaign
My team developed a campaign for Bernie’s Book Bank, a Chicagoland-based nonprofit organization which seeks to increase childhood literacy rates by giving free books to schools for grade-school students to own.
The focus of our campaign wasn’t on the stories written between the margins of each book, but the stories these books write for our own lives—the moments that define who we are and bring us closer to friends and family. Using tools like the Adobe CC suite and Canva, we settled on a message that emphasizes love, and how truly owning a book creates a connection that was never there from simply visiting the public library. This is a message that donors might take for granted and one that’s sure to ring true for parents everywhere.
